- Perform as lead attorney for the firm's cases in Key West, Marathon, and Plantation Key.
- Conduct comprehensive case analysis, develop defense strategies, and prepare clients for court.
- Represent clients in all criminal court appearances, including pretrial conferences, hearings, plea hearings, pre-trial motions, and trials (excluding appeals).
- Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action.
- Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other staff members.
- Draft documents, such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, plea agreements contracts.
- Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with prosecutors and clients.
- Cultivate strong client relationships, providing empathetic, respectful communication and regular case updates.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in every case.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar.
- Minimum of three years experience in criminal defense within Florida, with proven skills in handling a wide variety of cases.
- Strong courtroom experience with confidence in handling numerous criminal cases simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in delivering compassionate client service.
