Job description


The growing design professional defense team in the Atlanta office of Copeland, Stair, Valz & Lovell is seeking a Litigation Associate. Our team primarily represents Architects, Engineers, and other professionals in construction-related matters. This opportunity will provide the Associate with direct client contact and a hands-on role in moving the case forward. We are not working with search firms to fill this role.


Required Education & Professional Licensure:



  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Active license to practice law in Georgia and good standing with the State of GA Bar.


Essential Job Requirements:



  • 2 or more years of litigation experience in the civil defense arena is ideal but not required.

  • Experience with insurance defense matters and meeting billing guidelines.

  • Deposition and trial experience is an asset but not required.
