Hooks Meng & Clement (HMC) is on the lookout for an Associate Attorney to become part of our rapidly expanding Las Vegas office. Our specialty lies in Workers’ Compensation Insurance Defense, OSHA Employer Representation, Subrogation, Subsequent Injury, and Industrial Insurance Litigation, where we defend a variety of clients including employers, insurers, and third-party administrators.

  • Ability to represent clients in court or before government agencies both in person and remotely.
  • Experience in drafting legal documents and correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and courts as well as knowledge and experience in legal research.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the monthly billing requirement.
  • Be careful and deliberate in planning and strategizing for clients as well as attention to detail on all cases.
  • Daily use of electronic case management system to ensure all files have the most up-to-date, organized and accurate information.
  • Drive to cultivate and develop strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, not just being their representation.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the statutes and regulations within the state of Nevada.
  • Must be organized, a multi-tasker, deadline-oriented, a team player, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • State Bar of Nevada member in good standing and in compliance with all legal standards, ethics, Nevada Statutes, and regulation.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and cross-functional problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and dependability are key.
  • Must be able to work on own, but also be able to collaborate as part of a team.
  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to manage many and multiple competing strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are critical as well as exceptional and persuasive writing skills.

  • Daily usage of an electronic case management system to make sure files are organized and worked on effectively and efficiently.
