Associate Pre-Litigation Attorney

Speaks Law Firm is a well established personal injury firm located in Wilmington and Charlotte, North Carolina. We have recently experienced a lot of growth and are adding to our team of attorneys. Our firm is committed to client satisfaction, therefore candidates must have solid personal injury experience. We are looking for a North Carolina Licensed Attorney who is in early or mid-career. Acting as an assertive advocate for our clients, the pre-litigation attorney would be joining our team to handle auto liability, premises liability, and commercial claims. This job can be conducted in our Charlotte or Wilmington office locations. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Accountable for medical oversight performed by case managers, case values, utilizing subject matter experts, negotiating claims, referring to and assisting litigation.
• Ensure that overall best strategies are utilized for negotiations and act as mentor to case managers and/or any direct reports.
• Collaborate with firm leadership as an individual contributor to the needs of the organization as it pertains to pre-litigation.
• Assist with exceptional cases at the discretion of the owner or manager.

Desired Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Personal Injury experience
• Must be an active member of the NCBA
• Proficiency in writing, research, and negotiation
• Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
• Must be able to handle complex caseloads with little supervision
• Superb negotiation skills 

Compensation:
Annual salary (base plus incentives) estimated to be $70,000 - $85,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
