Attorney - Litigation Associate

The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior associates on a wide range of litigation matters, representing clients in state and federal courts as well as alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues related to ongoing and potential litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for submission to courts and opposing counsel.
  • Prepare for and attend court appearances, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates on case developments and advise them on legal strategies and potential outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Participate in mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations to resolve disputes outside of court.
  • Review and analyze documents, including contracts, emails, and other evidence relevant to litigation matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in litigation.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
