Join Wilson Sonsini’s dynamic Attorney Recruiting team.  This exciting opportunity in our Palo Alto office will play a key role in the overall planning and coordination of the firm’s law student recruitment programs and our strategic data reporting needs.  You will provide analytical and administrative support to ensure the team’s success.  If you are creative, committed to client service and easily adapt to rapidly changing priorities, with a strong focus on the details, including data accuracy, we want to hear from you.

This position balances owning your tasks with collaborating across the team, working most closely with the Senior Manager of Law School Recruiting, the Firmwide Data Analyst and the Palo Alto based law school recruiting team.  You will cultivate strong relationships both within Attorney Recruiting and with other firm departments.  This role offers the opportunity to learn and the potential for growth for an engaged team member.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager of Law School Recruiting to assist in all administrative aspects involved in law student recruitment programs, including but not limited to, early and on-campus interview programs, scheduling interviews, monitoring candidates throughout the process, coordinating follow-up efforts, assisting with the onboarding process, and assisting with coordination of law school recruiting events and attending as necessary.
  • Collect interview evaluations and prepare summaries for the Recruiting Committee.
  • Ability to greet candidates, virtually or in person, and monitor interviews.
  • Provide support to our Firmwide Data Analyst to assist with high-level analysis of our recruiting efforts, including preparation of firmwide reports and PowerPoint presentations for various meetings throughout the year.
  • Assist with administering viRecruit, the firm’s applicant-tracking system, which includes being a key team member responsible for data integrity and the functionality of the system, reporting, job postings and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain recruiting records and generate reports from the Firm’s Applicant Tracking System and Workday.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least one year of professional recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Superior analytical, attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently and handle a variety of duties effectively under time constraints.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of firm personnel as well as external clients, including search firms and vendors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to protect and maintain confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
  • Highly motivated and creative with ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to follow and report on market trends in diversity, legal recruiting, and retention.
  • Ability to understand unconscious bias and its effect on recruiting and hiring.
  • Knowledge of the attorney recruiting process and legal employment issues is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday and viRecruit is a plus.

The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $24.52 - $33.17 per hour.

The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
