The Billing Operations Training Administrator, under the direction of the Billing System and Quality Control Manager, is responsible for providing education and information to further the pursuit of sustained service and operational excellence within the U.S. Billing Function.  Key responsibilities include developing and leading training and quality assurance programs, expanding departmental knowledge sharing and supporting departmental initiatives.   Additionally this role will assist as needed with projects, from gathering key information needed to start a project, to working with project managers to execute project.  This role should continually aide in moving the department forward, in an effort to make it successful and continually effective.  This is a highly visible role that heavily entails preparing and organizing materials, conducting training and orientation sessions, fortifying compliance with established standards and interfacing with partners and administrative personnel, all while upholding the highest level of quality.









Responsibilities






Essential Functions:  

General:

  • Supports the development and implementation of training materials
  • Aids in developing, refining and organizing billing process documentation
  • Supports and leads training and communication for system upgrades and implementations
  • Contribute to and lead new hire training for Billing Operations as needed
  • Creates and maintains a repository for departmental policies and standards
  • Maintains departmental website’s content
  • Makes recommendations and helps as needed, to provide training/orientation sessions for partners/billing staff/secretaries and others on relevant billing topics and activities
  • Develops, implements and oversees a departmental cross training platform
  • Aids in developing a billing quality assurance platform
  • Leads or supports projects and other tasks as assigned
  • Makes recommendations for projects and initiatives to further the department
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Tactical

  • Maintains expertise on The Firm’s Billing and Ebilling Platform
  • Knows and understands critical billing needs of attorneys and applies to departmental strategies and activities
  • Maintains an understanding of both the Firms and the Departments processes, practices and policies

 









Qualifications






Education/Training/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Comparable accounts payable and billing experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree 

 

Professional Experience:

  • Aderant Expert experience preferred.
  • Legal Billing experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of General ledger and Accounting practices preferred

 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative. Work well as an independent contributor

  • Ability to analyze reports and other accounting data and both understand and interpret results accurately
  • Handle multiple priorities and projects while maintaining a high level of timely customer service and accuracy of work product

  • Strong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs and exercises independent judgment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with shifting priorities
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions meeting multiple deadlines

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • May require occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
