Our Finance and Accounting department has an excellent opportunity for a Billing Services Technology Specialist in the Firmwide (One Cleveland Center), Columbus, or Cincinnati office. This is a primarily remote, non-exempt position that reports to the Billing Services Technology Manager. This position is responsible for assisting the Billing Services Technology Manager with projects assigned by the Billing and Collections Manager while exhibiting a high level of customer service to the Firm’s attorneys, secretaries, staff, and Clients.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain positive internal customer relations while delivering technical advice as first tier support for user questions.
- Researches and resolves client issues and discrepancies with software, reports, and billing processes.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues and provides recommendations while collaborating with Information Services for resolution.
- Assist in training for all newly deployed software and provide ongoing support after go-live.
- Willing to travel.
- Collaborate with Billing Services Technology Manager on issues or suggested changes in policies and procedures.
- Provide hands-on backup when necessary for coverage of Billing Coordinator and E-Billing Coordinator positions.
- Timely and accurate completion of tasks in an organized, effective, and positive manner.
- Collaborate with all departments while fostering a cohesive atmosphere.
- Assists with department projects as needed and performs other work-related duties as assigned by the Billing and Collections Manager.
- Ability to work overtime when needed. Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience; equivalent combination of education, training and experience may substitute for education requirement. Knowledge of Billing department operations in a law firm environment is highly desirable.
- Written communications must be concise, professional, and accurate. Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with attorneys, clients, and staff.
- A strong client service approach and demonstrated ability to develop and convey recommended solutions to clients to resolve issues.
- Knowledge of Elite 3E or Aderant is highly desirable, but not required.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, including an advanced working knowledge of Excel. SQL and/or Power Automate skillset desirable though any type of data analytics background would be helpful.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with demanding individuals.
- Exhibits proactive behavior and a strong desire to learn. Ability to quickly obtain aptitude with new technological solutions is highly desirable.
