Founded in 2003, Lydecker is a growing AV-rated full-service law firm with over 140 attorneys in thirteen offices throughout Florida, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, and Georgia. We currently have an opening for a Bookkeeper in our Miami office.

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join the Lydecker team. The candidate should have 1+ year of experience working in a bookkeeping role.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Support the Accounting Team by entering and reconciling invoices utilizing the Clio system. Act as a liaison between the Accounting Team and the attorneys' assistants to facilitate timely payment of invoices. All other accounting duties as assigned.

 

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Recording Transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

  • Maintaining Financial Records: Organize and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.

  • Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy

  • Invoicing: Prepare and send invoices to clients, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Payroll Processing: Handle payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and ensuring timely payment to employees.

  • Budgeting Assistance: Assist in budgeting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.

  • Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in financial reporting and record-keeping.

  • Support Audits: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial information and documentation.

  • Tax Preparation: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely submission.

  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize expenses to identify trends and manage costs effectively.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, including tracking purchases, usage, and stock levels.

  • Communication: Liaise with clients, vendors, and financial institutions to resolve any financial discrepancies.

  • Software Management: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) to manage and record financial data.

What You Will Bring:

A can-do attitude, 3+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Technical proficiency Knowledge of Clio a huge plus but not required; training will be provided
