Overview






The Business Immigration team at Walker Morris sits within our Tier 1 ranked (in Chambers and Legal 500) Employment Department and has seen considerable growth over the last 3 years, with more of our clients looking for bespoke support with Business Immigration matters.

 

We have the opportunity for an experienced Business Immigration paralegal or caseworker to join the team. You will be supported by a Director with over 12 years' experience in this field and encouraged to develop your career within the Employment Department at Walker Morris, becoming a Business Immigration subject matter expert and trusted adviser.

 

The Business Immigration team's impressive client base includes household names and covers a range of sectors, including healthcare, construction, finance, retail, tech, engineering and sports. Walker Morris' international client base and strong partnerships with an extensive network of international firms means the team regularly receives instructions from overseas businesses looking to send workers to the UK or establish themselves in the UK. The team provides the full range of corporate immigration services, including sponsor licence applications and compliance, visa applications and right to work compliance.

Responsibilities






What you will be doing as a Business Immigration Paralegal / Caseworker:

  • You will be working on a wide range of Business Immigration matters including sponsor licence applications, visa applications and right to work compliance issues.
  • Support fee-earners with the running of full client matters, communicating directly with clients.
  • Prepare application packs, draft application forms and upload supporting documents.
  • Review and assess eligibility of jobs for sponsorship under the immigration system in order to advise corporate clients.
  • Maintain and monitor visa expiry dates across client matters.
  • Assist with keeping clients up-to-date with latest changes by preparing articles and social media posts.
  • Prepare presentations for business development events and contribute towards the teams' Business Development targets.
  • Support with the development of marketing materials and initiatives.
  • Assist with providing clients with training to help them keep up to date with the latest Business Immigration requirements.

Qualifications






  • Experience of applying for a variety of work visas.
  • Experience supporting businesses with queries in relation to sponsoring overseas workers.
  • Experience supporting businesses with right to work checks, license audits and applications.
