Currently, Akerman is hiring a Part-Time Catering Coordinator for its Miami office. This role involves several responsibilities crucial for the smooth operation of meetings and events: 

  • Setting up meetings and events in common areas and conference rooms.
  • Stocking catering supplies to ensure all necessary items are available.
  • Cleaning refrigerators and kitchens to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Moving tables and chairs as needed for events.
  • Dishwashing to keep the catering area clean.
  • Following food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.

While previous law firm experience is not mandatory, it may be beneficial. Candidates with bartending experience are also encouraged to apply. Essential skills include: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Capability to follow directions effectively.

The position requires candidates to regularly lift or carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Work Schedule: 

  • Hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday
  • Minimum of 16 hours weekly, with occasional extended hours not exceeding 29 hours weekly.
