Overview:

The Communications and Marketing internship at the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. This internship will provide you with valuable experience in engaging audiences through digital channels, developing online fundraising campaigns, and using data for impactful programs.


Responsibilities:


Digital Strategy Support: Assist in creating and implementing strategies for NIJC's annual year-end fundraising campaign, focusing on maximizing online engagement and donations.

Event Promotion: Help plan and promote NIJC's annual celebration event, recognizing our volunteers and supporters, to enhance community engagement and event success.


Data Management: Support the management and maintenance of data in NIJC's Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.


Content Creation: Develop and schedule engaging content for NIJC's social media platforms, email newsletters, and website, aligning with overall communication goals.


Story Collection: Coordinate with program staff to gather, edit, and organize compelling stories from clients and volunteers, highlighting the impact of NIJC's work.


Qualifications:


Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.


Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Familiarity with content creation and scheduling tools.
- Experience or interest in data analysis and CRM systems is a plus.


Experience: Previous experience in fundraising, design, or basic data analysis is a plus, but not required.
