LSNF's priority areas of representation include support for families; preserving the home; maintaining economic stability; safety, stability and health; and serving populations with special vulnerabilities. These translate to cases involving Family Law, Housing, Public Benefits, Employment, Education, and Health Care issues.

Legal Services of North Florida has an opening for a Community Outreach & Education Specialist in our Pensacola location and is seeking candidates with the ability to work independently and in team environments to increase outreach to community members and partner organizations, provide education and resources to increase access to legal services for low-income and vulnerable individuals in our community in civil legal matters. The position will join our existing legal disaster preparedness and response team to serve the community. 

This person will work with our legal staff, outreach teams, and communication department to plan and support community outreach, legal clinics, know-your-rights presentations, and develop creative ways to educate the community on how LSNF can assist with civil legal needs. Applicants should be skilled in Microsoft Office, Word, and understand cloud document storage. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable interacting with a variety of individuals.. Experience with event planning, public education and messaging, or civil legal matters is a plus. Candidates should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and work well in a team.

Entry level salary is $34,000. Salary is negotiable depending on additional experience. Comprehensive fringe benefits package for full-time employees includes:

  • Full time is 35 hours a week.
  • Paid time off includes: holidays, sick leave, and personal leave. Begin earning leave right away and after two years of employment, personal leave increases to four weeks per year
  • 100% fully paid health insurance for employee & dependent children after 60 days of employment
  • Employer paid life insurance policy of $25,000
  • Employer contributes 6% to retirement/ 401K plan, after one year of full-time service
