The Community Outreach Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs that connect the firm with the communities we serve. This role involves planning events, building strategic partnerships, advocating for safety and legal education, and fostering relationships with local organizations. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and planner with a passion for community engagement and advocacy.


Community Engagement:

  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to connect with local organizations, nonprofits, schools, and community leaders.
  • Represent the firm at community events, such as health fairs, charity fundraisers, and educational workshops.
  • Organize free legal clinics to provide underserved communities with resources and knowledge about their legal rights.

Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Organize and participate in events that promote the firm’s mission and services. Night and weekend events are part of the expected activities for this role. 
  • Coordinate sponsorships, donations, or partnerships with local organizations.
  • Host educational sessions in libraries, workplaces, and community centers to raise awareness about legal claims.

Brand Awareness:

  • Distribute branded materials to key community stakeholders and at events.
  • Identify new opportunities to promote the firm’s services within underserved communities.

Relationship Building:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the firm and local organizations.
  • Build long-term relationships with referral partners such as medical professionals, first responders, and community leaders.

Content Development and Reporting

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create blogs, videos, and social media content showcasing the firm’s community efforts and safety tips.
  • Publish annual “Community Impact Reports” to highlight the firm’s outreach programs and achievements.

Internal Engagement and Client-Centric Programs

  • Organize volunteer opportunities for staff, such as community clean-ups or rehabilitation center visits.
  • Promote the firm’s pro bono efforts and align them with community needs.
  • Oversee initiatives like scholarships for students impacted by injuries or distributing resource guides for accident victims.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Work, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in community engagement, event planning, public relations, or a similar role
  • Experience working with nonprofits, healthcare organizations, or legal firms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in event planning, budgeting, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with social media and content creation tools is a plus.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record with transportation to travel to community events and programs.
