GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Under minimal supervision, the incumbent is a key member of the tax preparation and services team and has primary responsible for performing individual and business/corporate tax return quality reviews, providing tax preparers feedback and guidance, and development and delivery of training to the tax services team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform comprehensive quality review of client tax returns.
- Conduct thorough reviews of clients' financial records to identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies for individuals and businesses.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax benefits.
- Collaborate with clients and provide expert advice on structuring transactions to minimize tax liabilities, analyze financial statements and recomend adjustments to optimize tax positions.
- Conduct or participate in client meetings both on the telephone and via zoom video conference.
- Prepare and file complex individual and business returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA certification required ten (10) years of hands-on as a tax professional.
- Must have two (5) years of direct experience performance quality reviews of tax preparation for individual, corporate, international, and partnership returns.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Read, write, review, and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, manuals, work instructions, tax forms, tax notices, financial reports, and other financial documents and records.
- Communicate clearly in writing and orally.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES OR QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience performing quality tax reviews.
- Demonstrated experience with tax preparation practices and principles including relevant tax law and regulation changes that impact tax preparation activities.
- Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts and familiarity with various individual, business and corporate entity forms and schedules.
- Demonstrate effective application of organizational skills, detail oriented, and meticulous workplace behaviors.
- Demonstrate Integrity, being honest and ethical in all activities always.
- Demonstrate effective collaboration and teamwork.
- Demonstrated experience entering data with quality and accuracy.

- Familiar with a variety of CRM and Tax systems.

Computer skills:
- Proficient with tax software technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Enter data into firm CRM software (Canopy) and systems.
- Work and be proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed of work and attention to detail without loss to production.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
