The mission of the International Institute of New England (IINE) is to create opportunities for refugees and immigrants to succeed through resettlement, education, career advancement and pathways to citizenship. One of the oldest and largest human services organizations for New Americans in the region, IINE serves more than 9,000 people each year in Boston and Lowell, Massachusetts, and Manchester, New Hampshire. Our programs include case management, youth and family services, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), employment and skills training, and immigration legal services.
A dynamic, forward-looking, and rapidly growing non-profit organization, we seek well-qualified, solutions-focused candidates who are experts in their respective fields. Successful candidates will join a committed team of professional staff and volunteers who are devoted to welcoming and serving new Americans.
Overview
The Director of Data Systems Integration and Analytics position has a unique opportunity to make a critical impact on IINEs work culture and effectiveness. After several years of rapid growth, the organization is poised to advance the sophistication of its use of information systems and data to track and transform its programs and operations. Siloed software systems are a barrier that this position will be focused on overcoming. While technical in focus, this position is an opportunity to step into an internal leadership role and impact the organization at multiple levels, from technical operations to culture and strategy, including articulating a vision for integrated, de-siloed data systems as a driver of organizational growth and improvement. Initially, this position will have no direct reports; however, this role will be forming and leading a cross-team data-focused working group that could later include up to three direct reports.
Strong candidates will be highly competent in data systems management, while also possessing a mind for operations and an inclination for aligning both with organizational strategies. The job will require strong communications and internal advocacy skills, as well as the patience to balance time-sensitive direct services needs across teams with continual progress in digital transformation. Change management and culture shift will be a throughline across all the work. Supervision and team building experience is a plus. The Director of Data Systems Integration and Analytics will be a thought partner to the Chief Operating Officer and an advisor to a busy but engaged executive team, while also being an advocate for effective systems and processes at the front lines of the organization, ensuring maximal support for the beneficiaries of IINEs programs and services.
