The Director of IT Product Management will be responsible for defining the technology product vision, strategy, and execution, ensuring that all IT products meet the evolving needs of the Firm. This individual will develop multi-year product roadmaps, conduct market research and understand user feedback, ensuring alignment with Firm objectives. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage a team with broad responsibilities across a large product portfolio.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and communicate the technical product vision that aligns with the department and Firms goals and objectives
Define IT product strategy and prioritize initiatives based on business demands, technology trends and user feedback.
Design and lead a consolidated multi-year roadmap, balancing short and long-term goal
Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team of IT product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability
Build and manage standards for end-to-end deployment of products, ensuring successful implementation and user satisfaction
Set clear goals and performance metrics for the product management team ensuring continual alignment with the Firms overall goals and objectives
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technology and best practices in IT product management
Conduct market research and user feedback sessions to identify opportunities for new IT products and enhancements to existing IT solutions
Work closely and facilitate communication between cross functional teams to drive alignment and effective execution
Define KPI’s and metrics to evaluate the performance of IT product and services, driving continuous improvements and enable optimization of product offerings
Manage 3rd party vendors where applicable to ensure the product continues to meet the Firm’s needs, including influencing the product roadmap and evaluating the vendors performance.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, Business Administration or equivalent practical experience required
Skills and Experience
10+ years’ experience in product management within IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of IT product lifecycle management, software development methodologies (e.g. agile, scrum) and project management
Bias toward action with a track record of driving initiatives from conception to completion. The ability to develop a vision but are also comfortable getting into the weeds and drive things as needed
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex IT products or systems
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external stakeholders across a wide range of technical solutions
Excellent verbal & written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Salary Information
NY & DC Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $245,000 to $275,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
