We are working on behalf of an Am Law 10 firm to recruit a Director of Marketing Operations to drive operational excellence and strategic alignment within the Marketing Department. Serving as a strategic partner to the Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) and department leaders, this role focuses on leveraging marketing technology, data-driven decision-making, and effective team development to enable the success of marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizational Effectiveness: Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and service excellence. Establish best practices, optimize workflows, and develop performance metrics for data-driven decision-making
  • Policies and Procedures: Serve as the primary contact for policy-related matters,ensuring firmwide consistency and compliance. Oversee marketing-related disclaimers, disclosures, and budget management.
  • Talent Development: Lead department-wide training, onboarding, and recruiting strategies to attract and retain top talent. Organize monthly meetings to foster engagement and knowledge-sharing.
  • Technology and Data Strategy: Collaborate with IT and AI teams to optimize the marketing technology stack. Ensure data integrity, develop training programs, and leverage analytics for strategic insights.

Credentials and Expertise:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in marketing, communication, business, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of strategic marketing leadership in law firms or professional services, with at least 10 years managing teams across multiple locations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in CRM, experience management systems, and marketing technology platforms. Proven ability to implement and support operational processes.
  • Leadership & Influence: Strong executive presence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence stakeholders, drive consensus, and foster a culture of accountability.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and impact.
