The Editor-Proofreader will assist in editing and proofreading reports to be sent to clients, communicating with Experts and the team to ensure flow of cases through formatting, and coordinate with the Experts and Case Managers to meet deadlines. The Editor-Proofreader may also be responsible for supporting the Editor, File Clerk, and Case Coordinator as needed.  

Requirements

 Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Edit and proofread all reports for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Experts to enhance the quality of content through constructive feedback and revisions.
  • Improve the overall quality and readability of written content by restructuring paragraphs and ensuring a logical flow of information. 
  • Verify and enhance the accuracy of data and information presented in reports.
  • Ensure that all written materials adhere to the organization’s style guide, branding guidelines, and any applicable industry standards. Assist in developing style guides and best practices. 
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to identify and address any potential issues in content before final publication and ensure accuracy of folders and correctness of supporting documents.
  • Perform varied and complex, technical, and/or clerical duties.
  • Verify that all necessary information is included and accurate in the final versions of reports.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • One year experience in editing and proofreading preferred.
