Position Summary
Utilizing scripted templates, the right candidate will be responding to customer inquiries via email support to find a meaningful solution for charged off accounts in a fast-paced, goal-oriented department. Candidate should possess a collaborative nature and easily work closely with others following up on collection activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Effectively communicate with consumers, attorneys, and other parties to resolve debts via email, while responding timely and accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to talk and write with confidence, charisma, and competence for a wide variety of audiences including management.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism with consumers, clients, and employees.
  • Follow-up with the customer or debt settlement company to ensure payments are made per agreement.
  • Accurately document account specifics to ensure factual data is tied to each account on each contact; account specifics must be matched to the email communication while adhering to client’s specific document requirements.
  • Take personal responsibility to comply with all state and federal laws and regulations and all client and company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as needed to ensure maximum collection efforts are made for the client.
  • Determine appropriate next steps to collect on the account when direct payment efforts are exhausted.
  • Treat all consumers, clients, and employees in the organization with professionalism, respect, dignity, as well as compassion and empathy.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Collections experience in any industry
  • Ability to understand the firm’s client guidelines and adhere to them 
  • Possess a strong attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about not only meeting goals but exceeding them
  • Strong and creative negotiation communication
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Proficiency with database software and MS Office Suite
  • Must be comfortable working on site full time, not a remote or hybrid role
