We are currently searching for a diligent, meticulous Attorney to work in the Fort Mill, SC, area to handle estates, trusts, wills, and elder law cases. - Draft documents, review laws and statutes, and meet with clients to finalize plans for their future.
- Host consultation meetings to meet with potential clientele and outline the services and level of expertise our firm can provide, as well as a suggested legal course of action for each individual's unique needs.
- Provide an unparalleled client experience so that each customer of the Firm knows they are a priority for you and our team at CFELG. Engage in frequent contact with all clients and work hand-in-hand with our Client Experience team to provide a concierge level of service.
- Help effectively solve legal problems for clients by analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action.
- Set boundaries for clients when needed to ensure the firm is profitable and our attorneys are protected from potential liability.
- Track time effectively and efficiently on both hourly billable and flat fee matters.
- This position will be based primarily in our Fort Mill office and may require travel to other offices at times.
- Preferably you will have at least five (5) + years of experience practicing elder law. Attorneys licensed in both NC and SC are preferred, but SC licensing is required. CELA certification is a plus.
- The ideal candidate has experience with estate planning, estate, and trust administrations, Medicaid planning, and long-term care benefits.Β Litigation experience is a plus for guardianship and estate litigation cases.
- Experience with billing and keeping track of billable time on cases.
- Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations.
- You need to be detail-oriented and willing to go the extra mile. In our law practice, getting it done right the first time for our clients is very important and we need our entire team to work with this important goal in mind.
- You must be a team player. You will be working with other attorneys and staff and both you and our other staff members are accountable to each other. Clients benefit from a strong team approach.

You should not be a person who gets angry quickly if someone says something you don't like.Β You need to have compassion when dealing with our clients, as many are going through difficult times or require extra patience.
- At times, you will also need to know how to figure things out on your own and be able to creatively problem-solve and come up with workable solutions.
- With regard to compensation, the base salary is based on experience. It is also subject to periodic reviews and raises which are based on job performance. If we succeed, you will, too.
