As a Drafting Paralegal, you will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive accurate, tailored legal documents that align with their needs. You will work closely with attorneys to draft, proofread, and finalize essential documents, and provide vital administrative support that keeps our firm running smoothly. Your keen attention to detail will be critical as you ensure all documents are legally sound and compliant with relevant standards.


What You’ll Do:

  • Draft and prepare legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support document preparation.
  • Review and proofread documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal standards.
  • Maintain organized client files, ensuring all documents are filed and accessible.
  • Manage deadlines, calendar tasks, and ensure that deadlines for filing and document completion are met.
  • Verify property ownership, request property descriptions, record deeds, and file documents with the Registry of Deeds or Clerks of Court.
  • Update and manage the firm’s database with client information and case details.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates.
  • Assist with general administrative duties, including client correspondence and report preparation.
  • Prepare and maintain weekly reports of key performance indicators.
  • An associate's degree or paralegal certification, with 3-5 years of experience in elder law and estate planning.
  • A strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documents related to estate planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal research databases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A professional demeanor with a focus on excellent client service.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to ensure the accuracy of every document.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
