Hazen Law Group LLC, a firm dedicated to the practice of trusts and estates, elder law, special needs planning law, farm transitions, and estate administration, is seeking a new Estate Planning/Real Estate Paralegal
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting, editing, and reviewing estate planning documents, deeds, farm transition and real estate agreements as instructed by a supervising attorney.
Assist in gathering information needed to ensure clients' estate plans are carried out as intended and beneficiary designations are coordinated appropriately.
Communicate with clients and be the primary interface between attorneys and the firmβs clients.
Organize and compile documents in preparation for client meetings, manage the flow of matters through the process, and finalize the delivery of completed work.
File deeds and other legal documents with Recorder of Deedsβ Offices.
You must be organized, accurate, and efficient in using the technological resources needed to complete assigned work by established deadlines.
This position requires dealing with sensitive, confidential information as well as administrative duties related to file preparation, organization, and maintenance. You will interact and build relationships with clients and other professionals, in person, via email, and over the telephone.
Often we are dealing with clients in some of the most difficult times of their lives, which means often you will be expected to handle them with empathy, tact, and understanding.
Qualifications
Bachelorβs Degree or at least 1 year of experience in estate planning or related field preferred
Proven aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Clio a plus
Excellent communication and grammar skills
Requirements:
Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
