Benesch is proud to announce the opening for a Financial Analyst in our Cleveland office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.


Position Summary:


Our Cleveland office has an amazing opportunity for a Financial Analyst who is looking to utilize their experience and work with a fast paced, energetic financial team. This role is perfect for the analyst who excels in data modeling and ad hoc reporting. The Financial Analyst works hand-in-hand with attorneys and practice groups to develop, automate and implement financial reports, budgets and forecasts in one of the nation's fastest growing law firms.


Essential Functions:


1. Assists in preparation of monthly financial reports and graphs for firm management.


2. Prepares benchmarking surveys to analyze performance against other firms.


3. Analyzes and understands business requirements and creates reports to support needs.


4. Utilizes business intelligence software to create interactive reports.


5. Functions as an important resource for practice group leaders, department heads and senior staff regarding their reporting needs


6. Performs detailed analysis on reports to determine areas for improvement.


7. Processes, cleans, and validates data for predictive analysis and data modeling.


8. Collaborates with multiple departments across the firm to analyze business needs.


9. Identifies and assesses the current performance and historical trends across all practice groups and departments.

Qualifications:


The successful candidate will possess:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration

  • 1-3 years of data analysis or accounting experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Experience in financial analysis, modeling, and preparing financial statements preferred

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under tight deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent customer service attitude
