The Position


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Operations Coordinator to join our prestigious law firm. This role will be pivotal in managing the financial transactions and operations of the firm, ensuring smooth cash flow management, approving wire transfers, and coordinating closely with external accountants. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.




Responsibilities:



  • Manage daily cash flow activities, including monitoring balances, initiating transfers, and ensuring sufficient funds are available.

  • Assist with daily and monthly reconciliation of bank deposits and transactions to ensure accuracy.

  • Process daily incoming payments from clients, including checks, credit card transactions, wire transfers, and ACH payments.

  • Verify and reconcile payment amounts with invoices or billing statements.

  • Review and approve wire transfer requests, verifying accuracy and compliance with firm policies.

  • Coordinate closely with the firm's external accountant to provide necessary financial data and support for month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.

  • Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to financial management and reporting.









Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in financial operations, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.

  • Strong understanding of cash flow management principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in financial software and systems; experience with Quickbooks is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
