The Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting the Business Development team by designing and creating graphic solutions that translate marketing objectives into creative strategies, digital and print imagery, designs and plans, ensuring consistent representation of the Firm’s brand across all media. This role works with various departments within the Firm to develop innovative solutions in support of various domestic and global branding initiatives of the Firm.
Work with the Business Development team and others in the Firm to create and design high quality visual solutions ranging from brochures, journal ads, presentations, newsletters, pitch materials and special event collateral including invitations, signage, presentation templates and other projects as required
Ensure that designs meet internal and external strategic brand requirements and are stylistically consistent with the Firm’s brand guidelines
Work collaboratively with the internal/external stakeholders to ensure that all design solutions meet objectives, project parameters and deadlines
Create comprehensive layouts, graphics, designs, promotional literature and marketing collateral utilizing a wide range of media
Responsible for photographing Firm events, attorney portraits, and directing photographs and photo shoots as needed; retouch and color-correct photos as required
Produce materials for print and web- related purposes
Coordinate with external printers and suppliers on multiple projects; establish and maintain vendor relationships
Prepare final layouts and oversee the production process internally or with vendors
Perform additional duties as required
Solid background in graphic design in a legal or corporate environment
Demonstrated experience in Desktop publishing and related software
Strong aesthetic sense and understanding of design principle
Sound understanding of design for print and print techniques/processes and online media
Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines and multiple components
Possess excellent time management and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly competitive and demanding environment
Ability and willingness to work flexible and extended hours as needed
Highly organized, strong attention to detail and self-motivated to generate high quality work product
Excellent proofreading skills, ensuring accuracy of work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in design programs such as Adobe CS6 family: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint
Proficiency in MAC and PC platforms
Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment preferred
Experience with photography using a DSLR preferred
Knowledge of HTML preferred
5+ years of experience in graphic design in a corporate environment
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field
NY only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $80k to $90k at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
