Summary






This position is within the Benefits Department focusing on quality, consistency, and appropriateness of internal and external communications, with an emphasis in benefits and well-being communications.









Duties and Responsibilities






  • Assist with firm-wide communications initiatives associated with human resources.
  • Support efforts to refine over-arching communication plan, approach and methodology.
  • Support the creation, development, and maintenance of employee and partner benefit and well-being communications. 
  • Consult with department managers, directors and subject matter experts, members and others as appropriate regarding the development of employee communication requirements.
  • Review department communications with a focus on quality, timeliness, accuracy, consistency, and tone.
  • Maintain a Sidley “brand” for HR communications.
  • Review all online HR content for usability and consistency with departmental standards and objectives.
  • Provide writing and documentation assistance to team members throughout HR.
  • Employ a variety of techniques to maintain awareness of current and future trends in internal and external communications.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, or other relevant area
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills
  • Superior knowledge of the MS Office Suite
  • Web content management experience

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of AP Style
  • Experience in legal marketing
  • Experience writing health and well-being communications
