About the Role






The HR Services Supervisor is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the overall services delivery of the HR Services team, ensuring the team responds to all incoming requests in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer service, while ensuring the department meets regular administrative deadlines, such as payroll and compliance requirements, and completes all the necessary stages of the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to onboarding, integration and departure processes. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 









Responsibilities & Qualifications






Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Monitoring the team’s daily activities to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures while providing an elevated customer service experience by coordinating and assigning tasks, handling all day-to-day inquiries and administrative duties for the department, ensuring timely execution of requests, and addressing challenging cases and escalating to the leadership team as needed
  • Overseeing the professional development of team members, identifying opportunities to build competencies, and facilitate career progression; providing mentorship to Senior Specialists, guiding them through intricate projects and inquiries, ensuring both growth and engagement; generating performance evaluations, recommending salary increases, and working with Human Capital & Talent to recruit, hire, train, coach, and manage the performance of employees 
  • Preparing team for annual recurring projects (i.e., summer/fall associates onboarding/offboarding, mid-year and year-end compensation cycles) by scheduling and communicating deadlines, providing clear instructions, following up with team members, and examining checklists to ensure completeness
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams through regularly scheduled meetings to continuously refine and optimize reporting platforms, dashboards, and requirements; identifying areas of inefficiency and providing suggestions on process improvements; liaising with functions across the firm to ensure expected service levels are being met, exploring opportunities to enhance support, and promoting the team’s capabilities and services as needed
  • Acting as subject matter leader for data and customer insights, building partnerships with other teams to help facilitate effective decision making

We’d love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources functions
  • Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Exhibit the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus

And have:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent, preferably with a focus in Human Resources or a related field
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree  
  • A minimum of four (4) years of Human Resources experience
