Position Overview: The HR Assistant will provide essential support to the HR team by assisting with various HR functions, particularly benefits management, employee relations, and HRIS management. This role involves supporting the onboarding and offboarding processes, managing employee records, and ensuring the smooth administration of employee benefits. The HR Assistant provide general administrative support to HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration:
    • Assist in the enrollment process for employee benefits, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and employees are informed about available benefits options.
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings.
    • Maintain up-to-date records for employee benefits and assist with any changes, updates, or claims.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding:
    • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire documentation, scheduling orientations, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
    • Assist with the offboarding process for terminated employees, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and returned, and facilitating the return of company property.
  • Team Coordination Support:
    • Assist with team coordination efforts by supporting the assignment of new hires to teams and maintaining records of team movements.
    • Provide administrative support for team mobility processes as directed.
  • Employee Relations Support:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking assistance with HR-related questions, including benefits and policy inquiries.
    • Assist in addressing employee relations matters by helping maintain documentation and following up on issues in collaboration with HR and management.
    • Help ensure adherence to company policies and provide support to HR in resolving minor employee relations issues.
  • Employee Recordkeeping:
    • Assist with maintaining accurate employee records, including time-off requests, promotion and employment change letters, and other documentation.
    • Ensure that all employee records are up to date and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
  • General HR Support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing HR documentation.
    • Assist with various HR projects, process improvements, and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Basic understanding of HR policies, employee benefits, and employee relations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Education & Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role preferred.
  • Experience with benefits administration and employee records management is a plus.
