Benesch is proud to announce the opening for a Human Resources Coordinator in our Cleveland office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.


Position Summary:


Are you looking for an opportunity to take your HR degree and put it to practical use? Do you have a desire to work in Human Resources and learn from the ground up? Then you may be interested in Human Resources Coordinator position. This role is perfect for the individual who wants to roll up their sleeves and jump into HR and start learning from day one. This position is perfect for the energetic, driven, detail-oriented professional who wants to play a pivotal role in our organization.


The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Coordinator supports a variety of HR services for all Benesch offices, including the maintenance of personnel files, assisting with support staff recruiting, orientation, and the onboarding process for new hires.


Essential Functions:



  1. Facilitates onsite interviews at the Cleveland office by preparing interview schedule sheets, ensuring candidates are greeted and shown out, and interviewers are timely.

  2. Coordinates with hiring managers and trainers on an appropriate orientation schedule and onboarding plan for incoming new support staff hires.

  3. Schedules and facilitates orientation for new support staff employees across all office locations.

  4. Serves as the primary point of contact during a new hire's onboarding; proactively communicating onboarding expectations, sending the New Hire Survey and providing first day instructions prior to their start date.

  5. Manages the processing of new hire ID badges and replacement employee badges with the building.

  6. Conducts the HR facet of orientation for all new support staff hires across all office locations.

  7. Ensures new staff hires complete all required onboarding paperwork in a timely manner.

  8. Assists in the completion of I-9 forms for new hires, collects required documentation and maintains the records in accordance with the law and Firm best practices.

  9. Completes any employment, income, or character verifications in accordance with Firm requirements.

  10. Processes information requests in the Firm's AMC (Adds/Moves/Changes) system.

  11. Oversees the facilitation and completion of all employer programs including but not limited to: NorthCoast 99, Top Workplaces, Most Loved Workplaces, etc.

  12. Schedules all new support staff 30/60/90-day check-in's.

  13. Manages the sending of gifts for new hires, birthdays, sympathy and births; and any corresponding firm announcements.

  14. Maintains the HR department credit card and ensures all backup is submitted timely to the accounting department.

  15. Processes any HR/Benefits/Comms vendor invoices in Chrome River.

  16. Manages the vendor relationship with the HR compliance poster service and ensures current compliance posters are displayed in appropriate areas in all Benesch locations.

  17. Coordinates with Office Administrators/Managers on any compliance updates or new posters being sent.

  18. Processes any client-specific background checks and provides appropriate documentation to the respective timekeeper.

  19. Aids in the planning of Firm events such as the summer outing, Halloween party, and annual Holiday Party.

  20. Ensures that electronic personnel files are kept current and in alignment with best practices and retention requirements.

  21. Uploads documents into the electronic personnel files.

  22. Supports the HR team with scheduling HR-focused events and meetings, coordinates any food deliveries, and ensures the appropriate technology is arranged.

  23. Provides a wide range of complex administrative and clerical support to the HR team.


Additional Responsibilities:



  1. Performs other duties as assigned.

  2. Assists with ad hoc reporting as-needed.

  3. Provides additional support on HR projects as necessary.

Qualifications:


The Human Resources Coordinator must have a bachelor's degree in HR or related discipline or have two or more years of related work experience. Must possess good communication skills and carry out responsibilities in a very professional, client-focused manner. Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) is required. The HR Coordinator must be resourceful, proactive, and be able to handle multiple competing priorities.
