The Position


We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our HR department at Friedman Vartolo LLP. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of HR best practices, particularly within a legal environment, and will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance. This role will work closely with senior management to align HR strategies with the firm's business objectives and foster a positive and productive workplace culture.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner. Foster a positive workplace culture and ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures.

  • Oversee performance evaluation processes, including goal setting, feedback, and development plans.

  • Manage compensation structures, salary reviews, and benefit programs.

  • Ensure the firm's people practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Conduct regular audits and updates to maintain compliance.

  • Oversee people operations systems and processes, including employee records, HRIS management, and reporting.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within a legal or professional services environment.

  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Monday.com and Microsoft Office Suite.
