About the Role






The Human Resources (HR) Services Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for coordinating and responding to all day-to-day HR queries and handling the administrative responsibilities for the department, ensuring prompt resolution, and escalating to senior team members when necessary, while completing service requests via a case management system from open to closed status, ensuring all service level agreements and deadlines are met, and requests are actioned promptly. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.









Responsibilities & Qualifications






Other key responsibilities include:

 

  • Responding to all HR Services requests, prioritizing requests accordingly, and escalating more complex queries appropriately within the department
  • Monitoring and recording employee data and information within the HR Information System (HRIS) and Facebook, including new hire entries, leaves of absence, transfers, secondments, and terminations
  • Preparing standard contracts of employment and HR standardized documentation, such as employment verification letters, transfer letters, title change memos, etc.
  • Cross-referencing and recording data from the firm’s Applicant Tracking System and the onboarding system to the HRIS in a timely manner
  • Assisting the timekeeping team in managing timekeeping activities for the practice offices, including making adjustments to entries (e.g., makeup time), answering routine questions, and escalating complex questions to available resources as needed

 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources functions
  • Display well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus

 

And have:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent, with a focus in a Human Resources-related field, preferably
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience
