Falcon Rappaport & Berkman is seeking an experienced IP Partner or Counsel.

FRB is currently hiring an experienced counsel or partner for its New York City office (7+ years of experience) to join the Intellectual Property Practice Group.
Candidates with a proven track record of working in a hybrid remote (near one of our existing locations) or fully remote environment will also be considered.
Qualifications:
Required: 7+ years of experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel performing domestic and international trademark prosecution, including regular direct contact with clients, foreign counsel, and primary responsibility for complex matters.
Required: Familiarity with trademark clearance, docketing and related procedures.
Required: Portable book of business ($250,000+). A successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial outlook looking to grow their practice and contribute to a cross-departmental, collaborative environment. Motivated to learn and improve.
Required: Admitted to the New York Bar. If you intend to work remotely from a location outside of New York, candidate may be required to have an active bar license in the state where they reside and where legal work will be done.
Required: Superior academic credentials, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred: Independently prosecuting copyright applications, drafting and negotiating license agreements, enforcement or litigation experience.
Preferred: Experience with technology, digital assets, and/or software companies.
Preferred: Experience in a managerial or leadership position.
Experience as a trademark examiner at the USPTO or in-house legal role is a plus.
Experience independently prosecuting patent applications is a plus.

Total Compensation – $150K-$250K (based on experience, book of business and performance).
