Corporate & Securities legal administrative assistant

Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the western United States, is currently seeking a full-time legal administrative assistant to join its fast-paced Corporate & Securities practice in the Salt Lake City office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, attorneys, and co-workers
  • Drafting, formatting, and proofing documents
  • Completing entity, tax, property and docket searches
  • Filing of various corporate documents in multiple states
  • Recording documents with County Recorder’s Offices
  • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of closing binders
  • Compiling costs at time of closing
  • Entering details from attorney time records
  • Coordinating monthly billing process
  • Corresponding with clients
  • Maintaining attorney and paralegal calendars
  • Answering telephone calls
  • Making travel arrangements and submitting expense reimbursement reports
  • Opening new client matters

Position requirements

  • At least 5 years of legal secretary experience, preferably in a large law firm, supporting multiple attorneys. Transactional practice experience a plus
  • General understanding of corporate filings
  • Excellent grammar, typing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and multiple cloud-based software programs
  • High level of organization and time-management skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and commitment to client service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Dedication to producing quality work and bringing assigned tasks and projects to completion
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing demands
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Notary a plus, or willing to be one within 3 months of hire
