Benesch is proud to announce the opening for a Legal Support Center Supervisor in our Cleveland office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.
Position Summary:
Our Cleveland office has an amazing opportunity for a Legal Support Center Supervisor who is looking to utilize their experience and skill set in a variety of areas of practice. This role is perfect for the experienced legal assistant or word processor who is looking for that next step in their career. Someone who wants to work with different practice groups, never have the same day twice in a row when it comes to work and assist with a variety of legal matters. The Legal Support Center Supervisor is a working supervisor who daily engages with legal assistants and attorneys to provide support in one of the nation's fastest growing law firms and assist litigators in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
The LSC Supervisor coordinates workflow, supervises and evaluates LSC personnel, work product, and assists with projects that come into the Center. This position creates LSC policy and procedure guidelines, as well as schedules for all shifts.
Essential Functions:
1. Manages the overall operations and personnel within LSC ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all requested work.
2. Provides training and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and efficiency. Serves as a working member of the LSC team by actively picking up incoming projects as required.
3. Monitors and approves timecards and PTO requests for all LSC personnel.
4. Acts as a resource person in software training and implementation for LSC personnel and end users.
5. Provides operators with explanations of unusual job requests.
6. Manages LSC workflow by monitoring all incoming projects; monitors LSC deadlines, advising originators of potential problems; makes required adjustments to LSC workflow schedule to ensure timely completion of documents; and responds to all end user inquiries regarding document scheduling, production and quality control.
7. Coordinates regular and overtime scheduling of LSC personnel; coordinates scheduling of special projects.
8. Designs, recommends and coordinates pilot projects for testing new procedures, keyboard and software applications as well as new equipment.
9. Oversees the use and maintenance of word processing software and tools, ensuring they are up to date and functional.
10. Plans, prepares and maintains up-to-date operator and user manuals.
11. Maintains a thorough knowledge of LSC functions and Firm procedures.
12. Assists the Director of Administrative Practice Support in the development, design and implementation of word processing training programs for system users.
13. Ensures that all LSC staff communicate properly and promptly with Benesch personnel and external clients at all times and that they exhibit a high level of customer service at all times.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Assists in the interviewing process of LSC staff candidates.
2. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
The LSC Supervisor must have a High School Diploma and prior experience as a legal assistant or word processor in a service organization, preferably legal. Supervisory experience is required. A high level of accuracy in both typing and proofreading is a must. Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, DocXtools and other programs required. Must possess an excellent customer service attitude.
