We have a wonderful opportunity for a hybrid Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support a team of Labor and Employment and Litigation Attorneys.    All attorneys on the desk will be a pleasure to work with.

 

This is a hybrid role with a billable hour requirement slightly less than half of a full time paralegal. 

 

Some of the main responsibilities will include:


  • Manage attorney calendars/workloads regarding investigations, decisions, position statements, and litigation.

  • Interact with and assist clients, court personnel, law offices, governmental agencies, and the general public with a focus on client service.

  • Electronically file pleadings and motions in state and federal courts.

  • Transcribe dictation of correspondence, memoranda, legal pleadings, and other documents.

  • Coordinate logistics for conferences and depositions, including attorney travel arrangements.

  • Enter attorney billable time through automated systems and ensure accuracy.

  • Maintain paper and electronic litigation files per team procedures.

  • Maintain multiple attorney calendars and monitor all deadlines.


We require:


  • Employment, Title IX, and Litigation experience preferred.

  • Detail-oriented person with minimum three years of experience as a litigation assistant.

  • Proficiency in transcribing, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents.

  • Experience working within the rules of court relating to formatting and filing documents including pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs.

  • Experience filing documents in various courts (including navigating electronic filing systems).

  • Working knowledge of litigation terminology, documents, and forms.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Excellent organizational skills.
