Collins Legal Group is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support our growing legal team. The paralegal, in this role, plays a vital role by providing essential support to our attorneys during all stages of the litigation process. You will use your expertise in legal research, case management, customer service, and document preparation, to contribute to the success of legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Managing a diverse caseload and other matters as assigned.
  • Providing legal and administrative support to supervising attorneys and enhancing office effectiveness.
  • Conducting comprehensive legal research and gathering case-related information to support attorneys for case strategy.
  • Drafting and filing pleadings in State and Federal courts.
  • Communicating with clients, internal staff, and external vendors.
  • Facilitating the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and providing timely reminders.
  • Preparing and maintaining legal documents, preparing and responding to motions and discovery, interviewing clients, and conducting factual legal research.
  • Requesting, organizing, and summarizing medical records as needed.
  • Providing reception assistance.
  • Maintaining trust and regular contact with clients through open and interactive communication.
  • Assist in trial preparation by organizing and maintaining case files, pleadings, and exhibits for trial binders.
  • Utilize legal software and technology to retrieve, organize, and analyze case-related information.
  • Facilitate communication between attorneys, clients, support staff, and other parties involved in cases, ensuring clear and timely exchange of information.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • (3+) years of legal experience in Personal Injury, Family, and/or Criminal Law.
  • Willing to learn or have experience working with MyCase or similar case management software.
  • Ability to identify relevant legal issues using strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Proficient in using legal research software and technology to retrieve case-related information.
  • Attention to detail to manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and complete tasks during possible time constraints.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other parties.
