Benesch is proud to announce the opening for a Litigation Support Manager in our Cleveland office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.


Position Summary:


Do you have years of hot seat/trial litigation experience involving complex matters? Do you have an in-depth understanding of EDRM and familiarity with vendor management? Are you looking for a challenging new position that allows you to build off your paralegal experience? Then Benesch's Litigation Support Manager may just be your next career move. This role is perfect for the paralegal looking to take their trial and hot seat experience to support Benesch's litigation group.


The Litigation Support Manager works with Benesch attorneys and staff to provide litigation support and services related to Electronic Discovery. This person is also responsible for evaluating and maintaining vendor relationships, monitoring IT trends, recommending new litigation technology, and developing/implementing policies and procedures of the Litigation Support Department.


Essential Functions:



  1. Manages the Firm's litigation support needs primarily for the Cleveland office and supports other offices within the Eastern Time Zone.

  2. Manages litigation support projects, performing tasks such as ingesting e-discovery data, preparing search reports, managing document review workflows, preparing documents for production, and using analytics to advance the needs of the case teams. Advises teams drafting ESI protocols.

  3. Develops documentation, procedures, and protocols for activities within the scope of Litigation Support, as assigned by the Litigation Support Director.

  4. Establishes strong working relationships with Litigation practice leaders - actively promotes Litigation Support service capabilities.

  5. Monitors Litigation Support trends, especially evolving technologies, and recommend products and changes as appropriate. Assesses, establishes, and manages outsourced vendor relationships.

  6. Assists in the implementation of technology projects for the Litigation Practice.

  7. Works closely with client representatives, most often to gather information on relevant data sources and formulate recommendations for document preservation and collection.

  8. Prepares and conducts training/presentations on technology, workflows, and recommended practices designed to increase staff awareness and proficiency with Litigation Support platforms and services.

  9. Provide trial support services as needed. Services include, but are not limited to: preparation of exhibits, video clips, demonstratives, and other trial materials; coordination with IT/Office Services regarding trial technology needs and "war room" setup; trial presentation/"hot seat" services.

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.
