Leadership and Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the law office
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other attorneys and support staff
  • Set and enforce policies and procedures


Client Relations:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with key clients
  • Ensure client satisfaction and address any issues that arise
  • Handle high-profile or complex legal matters personally


Client Representation:

  • Conduct periodic strategy sessions with clients
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, conferences and mediation sessions
  • Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients
  • Prepare other attorneys for court appearances and depositions
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients


Case Management:

  • Oversee and manage a diverse caseload of family law cases from inception to resolution
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies
  • Review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and agreements
  • Regularly meet with other attorneys and support staff to review client matters


Financial Management:

  • Oversee the law office’s financial reporting
  • Manage billing and collections processes
  • Ensure profitability


Human Resources:

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate attorneys and staff
  • Manage performance and provide professional development opportunities
  • Address personnel issues and conflicts


Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Develop and enforce risk management policies to minimize legal risks
  • Handle disciplinary issues and legal malpractice concerns


Administrative Oversight:

  • Supervise the administrative functions of the firm, including case management and office operations
  • Oversee the maintenance of case files, records, and other critical documents


Professional Development:

  • Stay current with legal developments and industry trends
  • Encourage ongoing education and training for attorneys and staff
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence

Educational Requirements


  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree: Must have a JD from an accredited law school
  • Bar Admission: Must be a member in good standing of the state bar (Maryland)


Professional Experience


  • Legal Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience practicing family law, including handling cases related to divorce, custody, alimony, and child support
  • Management Experience: Experience managing a legal team, including supervising attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
  • Case Management: Proven track record of successfully managing a high caseload and complex family law cases from inception to resolution
  • Courtroom Experience: Extensive experience in litigation, including trials, hearings, and negotiations
