The Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Firm by providing event planning and administrative support for a wide variety of events, ensuring that the Firm’s high standard of excellence is met.
Job Duties
- Work with lawyers, members of the Business Development Events team and other internal departments to conceptualize ideas and source venues for Firm events.
- Provide logistical event support including, but not limited to, venue and vendor research, site inspections, contract negotiations, invitation design, catering/menu selection, décor, AV set-up, booking conference rooms, coordination and production of event materials (handouts, signage, nametags), staffing, etc.
- Keep abreast of new restaurant openings, as well as restaurant closings and any changes in ratings.
- Assist with all day-to-day tasks supporting the Events team.
- Work with Graphic Designers and Marketing Technology team to create and send event invitations.
- Provide post-event analysis and reporting.
- Track expenses during planning process, prepare and process payments and invoices, reconciling company credit card statements via Chrome River
- Manage inventory of promotional items/swag and other marketing related items which includes organization and distribution of items as requested by attorneys; this aspect of role can be sometimes physical in nature.
- Assist in managing data for the Firm’s marketing technology platforms and contact databases by updating event function information.
- Coordinate purchase and distribution of promotional items and client gifts
- Support other projects and Firm initiatives as needed.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Education
Preferred
- Major in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
Skills and Experience
- 1-2 years’ experience working in a high-paced, deadline-driven, professional-services environment.
- Excellent written and oral communications and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Suite.
- Strong learning aptitude, attention to detail and self-motivated to produce accurate, timely and complete work product.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment.
- Ability to anticipate requests for information essential to meet the needs appropriate to their role.
- Must have a positive can-do attitude and professional demeanor and demonstrate a team-player behavior.
- Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed.

Preferred
- Previous experience in a law firm, marketing or professional services field preferred
- Experience updating a website preferred.
- Events experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system preferred.
Salary Information
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
