Our firm is seeking an Elder Law and Medicaid Attorney to join our team! Seniors are our passion and helping them through their journey in life brings us joy. If you have experience working with Medicaid applications and helping facilitate the process we invite you to consider this position. This position is primarily based in our main office located in Clear Lake City.

  • Supervise paralegals and other staff.
  • Represent clients with Medicaid applications and appeals.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case updates and application processes and advise on legal matters.
  • Manage calendar of deadlines and ensure all filings are completed prior to deadlines with the State.
  • Draft and revise legal documents.
  • Travel to our satellite offices as needed.
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
  • Licensed member of the Texas State Bar.
  • 2-4 years of experience practicing in elder law. Experience in Medicaid crisis planning is a must.
  • Probate, guardianship, and estate planning experience a plus.
  • Familiarity/membership with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the National Elder Law Foundation a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • CELA designation is a plus.
