Gevurtz Menashe is dedicated to family law and estate planning in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. In this role, the Office Assistant is responsible for being a team member who is provides assistance to other team members as well as helps our guests and external callers connect with the appropriate individual within our offices. 


This position reports to the Office Services Manager. 


Regular working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday on-site at our Portland, Oregon location. On occasion, the Firm may request the Office Assistant to work extra hours as necessary to accomplish goals and responsibilities.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

· At least one year of successful experience in a high-volume professional service or sales environment with customer interaction. 

·  Willingness to research the answers to problems, procedures, and random tasks that might be given to you with which you are unfamiliar.

· Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. 

· Be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task, follow-through, and work in a fast-paced team environment while remaining calm and professional. 

· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and company information. 

· Ability to follow processes and procedures.

· Demonstrated ability to handle stress.

· Demonstrated ability to preliminarily assess and determine a sense of urgency.

· Willing to be a part of collaborative team.

· Ability to receive job-related feedback and not take it personally.

· Enjoy communicating with individuals on the phone. 

· Demonstrate ability to communicate in a professional, warm and courteous manner in person, over the phone, or by email.

· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

· Must be detail-oriented and set high standards for accuracy. 

· Must have demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite. 



Essential Duties: 

· Communicate with team members and external callers by phone and email.

· Provide assistance, as necessary, to other team members. This may mean that you are flexible with your time.

· Work closely with other team members to receive or provide information necessary to complete a task.

· Adhere to processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy. 

· Other duties as assigned. 


Physical Requirements:

· Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds, on occasion.

· Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, on occasion.

· Ability to climb stairs frequently (to move between floors), including carrying items up to 10 pounds.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time, on occasion.

· Ability to sit for up to 3 hours at a time, on occasion.
