  • Experience providing legal administrative support

  • Exceptional oral and written communication, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style

  • Excellent multitasking and time management abilities

  • Proficiency with MS Office, scanning, and profiling of legal documents

  • Superior client service and listening skills for anticipating needs of clients and attorneys


 


The Office Assistant is responsible for hospitality, administrative assistance and overage, workflow overflow, document preparation, scanning/profile, word processing, and more. Do you have the drive and desire to:



  • Greet clients and maintain a client-ready reception area; responsible for maintaining and scheduling conference room calendars, coordinating food and beverage set-up and supporting the IT and A/V needs

  • Manage a high volume of phone calls and transmit messages accurately and promptly; Process incoming and outgoing mail including FedEx, certified mail, and UPS

  • Provide daily assistance to administrative team with work overflow including word processing, document production, check request processing, time entry, initiating conflict checks and new client/matter requests, creating new client files, processing expense reports and more

  • Organize office copy centers, kitchen, conference rooms, etc.

  • Learn the nuances and support the needs of various legal practice areas such as commercial litigation, public finance, and more

  • Perform other administrative tasks and projects as requested by attorneys and management

Salary information below will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position, geographic locations and weekly hours schedule. The anticipated weekly schedule for the Office Assistant in Albany is 37.5 hours per week.
