Do you love digging into research and helping people? We’re hiring a paralegal to assist our legal team in preparing legal documents, filing motions, and conducting legal research.   • Manage your time to ensure that billable hour targets (120 per month) are met or exceeded
  • Communicate with clients, experts, and other parties to provide updates and gather information; answer basic questions about the status of the case
  • Monitor case progress, deadlines, and important time frames/milestones
  • Draft documents, indexes, and chronologies; prepare marital settlement agreements; draft pleadings, motions, and court documents; fill out legal forms; write reports, etc.
  • Help attorneys prepare cases for mediations/hearings/trials
  • Manage discovery: prepare and organize discovery and responses to discovery demands
  • Research laws and judicial decisions about current as well as past cases
  • Assist attorneys in the courtroom as needed
  • Enter billable and non-billable time in the case management system contemporaneously
  • A Paralegal will have completed a course of study offered by a college or university, especially for Paralegals, and will possess a certification as a trained paralegal
  • A Paralegal should have experience in a law firm. Experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant is especially pertinent, and candidates with this background will be given preference
