Speaks Law Firm PC, is an experienced Personal Injury Law firm with offices in Wilmington and Charlotte, North Carolina. Located close to Camp Lejeune, we are committed to obtaining advantageous outcomes for our clients. We are searching for a Paralegal to join us in our Wilmington office to mostly manage personal injury matters, including those involving Camp Lejeune. If you have prior paralegal experience and a desire to help, we would love to have you apply! 

Responsibilities 
  • Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
  • Ability to handle volume record review 
  • Drafting of legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; filing motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items
  • Send requests for information including medical records & billing, affidavits, or other needed documents
  • Preparation and filing of general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits into Needles Neos Case Management Software
  • Build rapport and relationships with clients and their representatives 
  • Proven experience with responding to and meeting necessary deadlines 
Desired Skills & Qualifications 
  • Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of paralegal/case management experience
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies with a Paralegal certificate
  • Notary Public
