We are currently seeking a Payroll
Tax Analyst to join our Payroll team in Cleveland, Ohio. The
position will partner with a cross-functional team of Payroll, HR,
Finance and Corporate Tax to maintain compliance and improve the
process with all federal, state and local tax laws from a payroll
tax perspective. The position will manage (CTS) external service
provider to ensure accurate preparation, review and filing of
payroll and related tax returns including bi-weekly, semi-monthly,
monthly, quarterly and annual tax payments, estimates, extensions
and amended return filings. The position will provide operational
support to both the payroll team and CTS (Ceridian Tax Service)
resolving and researching tax issues, while overseeing and
implementing new tax locations and agencies.



Responsibilities include:




  • Oversee US federal, state, and
    local tax process on a bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly,
    quarterly, annual, or other required basis including 941s, 940s,
    state and local income tax, unemployment and W-2s.


  • Review and maintain compliance
    with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Perform internal
    payroll tax audits to ensure correct work and live tax setups.
    Perform periodic audits on system configuration, system
    reporting and CTS output.


  • Provides the research, analysis
    and necessary reconciliation to respond to and resolve agency
    related payroll tax amendments and inquiries.


  • Manage payroll tax setup (UKG),
    ensuring the payroll system (UKG) is up to date with current
    technical and legislative requirements. Register new states and
    local tax (State & Local) jurisdictions.


  • Generate General Ledger entries
    transmitted to accounting for tax related entries. Ensures that
    all GL payroll tax accounts are balanced. Point of contact for
    Finance and Corporate Tax.


  • Partner with Ceridian Tax Service
    on tax and wage submissions, reporting, balancing and
    implementation of new tax authorities.


  • Interacts with tax agencies,
    coordinates access to state agency websites. Access unemployment
    percentage rates for payroll processing.


  • Be responsible for year-end
    payroll tax balancing. Partner with CTS for year-end reporting
    to tax agencies. W-2 balancing and submission. W2c's and tax adjustments.


  • Collaborate with Corporate Tax on
    Partner K-1 reporting. Work closely to ensure Partner transition
    from K-1 status to W-2 status. Assisting with the completion and
    understanding of tax forms required.


Qualified candidates must have a
Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field preferred (years of
experience will be considered in lieu of degree). Minimum two
years payroll tax experience in a large multi-state employer
required. 1-3 years working with Ceridian Tax Service strongly
preferred. Strong general knowledge of U.S. payroll processing and
U.S. tax compliance rules and regulations. Previous work with UKG
a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including MS Excel, is required.
