Personal Injury Paralegal (In Office Only)
Our busy firm is looking for an experienced and professional legal assistant/paralegal to provide critical support to our team. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and overall, a reliable team player. - Adhere closely to the firm's policies and procedures
- Communicate with clients and manage client expectations
- Calendar and maintain deadlines
- Draft legal documents and correspondence
- Collaborate with the medical records department to ensure timely receipt of records
- Schedule meetings, hearings, depositions, and mediations, including coordination with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and service providers
- Conduct research and background investigations
- Prepare Ch. 74 notice letters
- Prepare materials for deposition, mediation, and trial
- Maintain thorough documentation
- Demonstrate meticulous document and file management
- Process case expenses promptly
- Associate's degree or paralegal certification required; Bachelor's degree preferred;
- Three years recent experience as a legal assistant/secretary or paralegal OR five years recent experience in a law firm setting required, preferably in personal injury;
- OR equivalent combination of training, experience, and education above
- Bilingualism is strongly preferred
- Exceptional time management and ability to think critically
- Technical proficiency and comfortability with legal software
- Verifiable references are required
- This is a full-time, in-office position
