Job description:
McMichael & Gray is looking to bring on an in-house developer to create impactful dashboards and reports that drive informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization and expertise in designing and developing Power BI solutions.
Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge to design and develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, SQL, and BI tools for querying data for manipulation and transformation.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and create impactful dashboards and reports that illustrate trends, inform decisions, and drive business success.
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic partnership with Senior Management, business partners and well as communicate effectively with internal management and end users.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- 1 – 3 years experience in data analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX and Power BI Desktop
Responsibilities:
- Will play a critical role in creating visualizations, dashboards, and reports that enables management to derive valuable insights from data
- Responsible for leveraging SQL data for developing reporting and analytic products to be leveraged across all lines of business
- Responsible for very complex reporting and dashboard projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, performs in depth analysis, interprets results, and delivers actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company for customers and employees
- This position is also responsible for presenting data and analysis in a clear and concise manner allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations
- Ability to communicate with people inside and outside of technology. Must have an ability to listen and understand differing viewpoints and be able to quickly assimilate new information
- Design, develop, and implement Power BI solutions to meet the business requirements
- Utilize Power BI Embedded Analytics to create interactive dashboards and reports tailored to address specific business challenges and improve decision-making
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionality
