Our firm is seeking a Probate Attorney to lead and oversee the Client Probate and Guardianship experience, meet with clients, advise, and litigate cases as needed. We are looking for an individual hungry to learn but motivated to seek out knowledge on their own.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of court and litigation, excellent client communication skills, and the ability to manage complex matters with a high level of attention to detail. Probate experience is a plus!
- Assist clients in determining a proper/custom solution to legal conflicts and strategize the best course of action
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
- Leads and oversees Client Probate and Guardianship Experience, overseeing all cases to ensure timeliness on all deadlines are met.
- Conduct legal research, prepare for/attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and provide counsel
- Show compassion when interacting with clients to earn their trust and build confidence.
- Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
- Gather needed information including client details, and designations, and confirm referrals.Β Β Provide these meeting details as soon as possible after the Planning Meeting to the assigned Paralegal.
- Serve as point of contact for client legal questions that require an Attorney.
- Update the CRM system with meeting or call details on every interaction.
- Lead assigned legal team meetings.
- Follow-up with clients to maintain relationships.
- Manage caseload with minimal oversight and work directly with legal team members to ensure clientsβ goals are met within the expected timeframe.
- Active member of the American Bar Association
- Must be licensed to practice in Georgia
- Has a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active and good standing with the Georgia State Bar
- Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with attorneys and paralegals to best serve the client's needs
- Strong litigation skills - this is required
- Probate experience is a plus
- Extraordinary presentation and client experience skills (Required)
- Track record of success with increasing responsibilities
- Strong negotiation skills, including the willingness and ability to reconcile differences and find mutual wins
