The Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing and executing the procurement of goods and services for the Firm. The Analyst will develop and maintain effective supplier relationships, identify cost savings opportunities, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure that all purchases are in compliance with applicable policies and laws.

 









Responsibilities






Essential Functions:

 

  • Develops and administers RFIs and RFPs (as appropriate), analyzes responses, evaluates supplier capabilities and evaluates client relationships (as applicable to procurement)
  • Responsible for conducting and coordinating activities for procuring goods and services
  • Acts as liaison between Global Procurement and Accounts Payable
  • Reviews purchase requests, monitors contract renewal dates and evaluates suppliers
  • Assists in the implementation of global procurement strategies, policies and procedures
  • Identifies potential sourcing opportunities
  • Works with suppliers, manages and maintains an on-line site for branded merchandise
  • Collaborates with the Marketing & Business Development department, attorneys and procurement staff members for the selection of gifts and promotional products
  • Works with various venues to negotiate favorable terms for Marketing and Business Development events
  • Develops and maintains relationships with multiple promotional product suppliers to identify new products. Maintains the promotional gift display, stocks and fills promotional and branded items requests for all offices.  Assists requestors in selecting appropriate gift items
  • Coordinates the selection of gifts for various internal events and client holiday gifting
  • Coordinates with the Trial Technology and Services team including: contract “war room” space, hotel accommodation contracts, furniture and equipment rental, supplies and all other items for off-site trial office space. Works with legal, paralegal, secretarial staff as well as EDS and IS to ensure full operation of temporary office space.  Reviews and obtains approvals
  • Assists with Corporate housing for short and long-term housing needs for trials, secondee attorneys and management staff
  • Submits invoices for processing and payment
  • Provides Accounting with monthly updates spreadsheets for reallocation of costs

 









Qualifications






Education/Training/Certifications:

  • Certification in Procurement Management preferred

 

Professional Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Indirect Procurement; hospitality industry experience and/or marketing experience is a plus

 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of procurement principles, best practices and contract management systems a plus

 

Performance Traits:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors
  • Analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced mathematical skills; specifically good skills in evaluating pricing, evaluating supplier accounts in comparison with budgetary expectations, providing quantitative reports on procurement activity
  • Ability to multi-task; specifically, ability to prioritize and respond to procurement requests in order to meet critical deadlines, follow-up, and track procurement transactions
  • Ability to understand baseline spend, sourcing and e-procurement processes and strategies, commercial terms and conditions, and analyze in-house procurement trends and subsequently anticipate procurement needs
  • Must have determination and have the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Knowledge of costing and pricing methodology, and ability to perform comparative cost/benefit analyses.
  • Strong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects

 

Physical Requirements:

  • May require occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
